Glasgow is classed as Europe's most vibrant and cosmopolitan
cities. It boasts world famous art collections, the best shopping venues in the
UK outside London, first - class sport and leisure facilities, a vast array of
restaurants and bars, and the most vibrant and exiting night-life in Scotland.
The city is home to wonderful talent Scottish Ballet, Opera and the Royal
Scottish National Orchestra.
Glasgow is such a diverse city full of life and
soul. It has been describe by many as artsy and cultural.
Glasgow is Home to some of the most beautiful scenery in
Scotland with some of the most spectacular views of - ancient castles, lochs,
glens and miles of beautiful coastline. There are some of the best
opportunities for walking, sailing, trout fishing and playing golf.
Leading on from 2014 it would seem that Glasgow has outdone
itself after successfully commandeering the commonwealth games; we also had the
Radio 1 Big Weekend, MTV Awards, and a 21 day run of the reformed Craiglang
gang at the third most popular performance venue in the world, the SSE Hydro
Still Game.
It wasn't just Glasgow, the place that the world saw in a
bright new light, think about the atmosphere that we, the people of Glasgow,
created hosting the Commonwealth Games.
I'm sure we've forgotten something? Ah yes. The Independence
Referendum.
However even though we are proud of the grand gestures
Glasgow has to offer, we can often miss the hidden gems that contribute to
attracting the 3 million visitors a year. Where do they go and what are they experiencing?
